Casita Mesquite is a cozy king room that is tucked in at the edge of a beautiful mesquite grove. The comfortable bed and two big arm chairs provide spaces to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of El Pedregal. It is decorated with local some beautiful artwork, including local embroideries. The rustic brick portal is made of recycled materials and the sitting area looks out at the Sierra de Alamos. This casita is private and sits at the edge of the developed area of El Pedregal.

The mesquite tree is in the Fabaceae family and is a beautiful and abundant tree in Sonora and beyond. It is usually found only in areas that have been previously disturbed, grazed or cleared. This fast growing tree is common in the region. It is sought after for its use as firewood and charcoal. Also, the sap is eaten as a sweet and the pods are used for flour and as livestock fodder.
