AMAPA

Cozy King room tucked behind the Palapa

The Amapa (Tabeuia impetiginosa) is famous and protected in the region. Historically it was used in the original construction of all the grand homes of Álamos and beyond. Rising throughout the tropical deciduous forest, pink or yellow flowers bloom during the dry winter months. All of the casitas have ceilings with antique amapa beams that we collected over the years from abandoned ranches and deserted haciendas.
